NXT Designer shelf system - combined.fm Page 15 Wednesday, July 6, 2005 9:04 AM IS-NXT10232 Designer shelf system After the last programmed track has played the player stops, the PROGRAM indicator disappears, and the display again shows the total tracks and playing time on the disc. However, the program sequence remains in the memory. • To repeat the program sequence, press the PROGRAM button, then press the PLAY/ PAUSE button. • Programmed playback can be canceled by pressing the STOP button on the front panel or STOP/BAND button on the remote control twice during playback, by opening the CD Door, by switching to the TUNER or AUX function or by turning the power off. Programmed repeat playback You can also use both the Program and Repeat functions together to continuously repeat the programmed tracks. To continuously repeat programmed tracks: 1 Program up to 64 tracks as described above. 2 Press the PLAY/PAUSE button to begin programmed playback. 3 Press the REPEAT button on the remote control twice to select "All Tracks Repeat." The REPEAT ALL indicator remains on. The programmed tracks will be repeated continuously. On-screen display (remote control only) If your MP3 disc contains on-screen display information, you can press and hold the ST/MO/ FIND button on the remote control for one second to show the track information on the display. To quit the on-screen display, press and hold the ST/MO/FIND button again If your disc does not support the on-screen display, only the "FILE" name will be shown on the screen. The ESP memory function is automatically activated during playback. The display will show the flashing ESP indicator and begin to fill up the memory. The ESP indicator remains on when the memory is full. If the main unit is bumped or shaken, the ESP indicator flashes again as the memory is depleted. When the shaking stops the memory will fill up again. To deactivate the ESP function, press the ST/ MO/FIND button and the ESP indicator disappears. Note • The ESP function cannot be deactivated during the playback of an MP3 disc. • To obtain best performance, don't deactivate the ESP function. • When the ESP circuit is switched on or off, the sound will be interrupted for 2 to 5 seconds. This is normal and not an indication of any problem with the player. Timer function This system includes a programmable Timer function that will turn the system on and then shut the system off at a specified time. You can set the timer to wake you up to the TUNER or to your favorite CD. The timer can only be programmed while the system is in the Standby (Power Off) mode. To set the Turn-On Time: 1 Press the TIMER button. The "TIMER ON" indicator appears in the display. 2 Press the SKIP/TUNE > or < buttons to set the display to the turn-on hour you want. 3 Press the TIMER button again. The Minute digits begin flashing. Electronic skip protection (ESP) This player features an Electronic Skip Protection (ESP) circuit that continuously stores 10 seconds of CD music or 40 seconds of MP3 music in an electronic memory. If the main unit is bumped or shaken no skipping will result, because the player is reading from the memory and not directly from the disc. If the shaking continues for more than 10 seconds, the ESP memory will be depleted and the player may then skip or stop if the shaking continues. 4 Press the SKIP/TUNE > or < buttons to set the display to the turn-on minute you want. 5 Press the TIMER button again to confirm the turn-on time in the memory. The "TIMER OFF" indicator appears on the display. 6 Press the SKIP/TUNE > or < buttons to set the display to the turn-off hour you want. www.insignia-products.com 15
