OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 8 Cu. Ft. Electric and Gas Dryers # ITEM DESCRIPTION 7 Control lock Press and hold the Time Adjust and Time Adjust buttons at the same time for three seconds to turn on the Control Lock function. All buttons except Power will not work when the control lock is activated. Press and hold again for another three seconds to turn off the function. Press to turn your dryer on or off. If your dryer is on and idle for more 8 Power than 10 minutes without any buttons being pressed, it automatically turns off. Press to turn the Wrinkle Care program on or off. When turned on, the Wrinkle Care indicator lights up. 9 Wrinkle Care Wrinkle Care provides approximately 90 minutes of intermittent tumbling in unheated air at the end of the cycle to reduce wrinkling. The load is already dry and can be removed at any time during the Wrinkle Care cycle. 10 Eco Dry Press to turn the Eco Dry cycle on or off. When turned on, the Eco Dry indicator lights up. Electric Dryer: Switches to lower power Gas Dryer: Reduces the drying temperature. Note: Available only for Normal and Time Dry cycles. 11 Dryness Press to select the dryness level. Different dryness levels result in different drying times. For clothes to be ironed manually, select a lower dryness level. For more information, see Dryer options and settings on page 41. 12 Temp. Press Temp. repeatedly to select the drying temperature. • High: For sturdy cottons or those labeled Tumble Dry. • Medium: For permanent press (electric dryer), synthetics, lightweight cottons, or items labeled Tumble Dry Medium. • Medium Low: For chemical fibers, permanent press (gas dryer), or items labeled Tumble Dry Medium Low. • Low: For synthetic or washable knit fabrics. • No Heat: Provides just the air cycle without any heat. A different dryness level will result in different drying time. For clothes to be ironed manually, a lower dryness level should be selected. 13 Time Press Time repeatedly to quickly select the drying time setting (60 min., 50 min., 40 min., 30 min., or 20 min.). 14 Damp Alert Damp Alert lets you know when the moisture in garments is ideal for ironing. When your dryer beeps six times, take out the clothes you want to iron, then press Start/ Pause to continue drying the rest of the clothes. NOTE: Your dryer will not stop operating if you don't take those garments out for ironing. Press and hold for three seconds to save the current drying settings as 15 My Cycle your favorite. Press once to load your favorite cycle settings. 16 Start/ Pause Press to start or pause the drying cycle.
