Overview of BIOS Features 3.4.2 Custom Splash Screen During POST, an Intel® splash screen is displayed by default. This splash screen can be augmented with a custom splash screen. Table 29 lists the drives and media types that can and cannot be used for BIOS recovery. The BIOS recovery media does not need to be made bootable however, it must contain the motherboard .bio file at the root level. Table 29.
