Hardware Installations and Upgrades C B A Figure 14. Installing Enclosure Cover TP01847 Removing or Installing a Power Supply Module A power supply module can be replaced if it fails. If your storage system uses a redundant power supply system, you do not need to power down the system to replace the failed power supply module as long as the remaining power supply module is plugged into an AC power source and is functioning. Important: If only one power supply module is used in the storage system, a blanking plate must be fitted to cover the unused righthand slot and lower AC input socket. Operation of the storage system with ANY modules missing will disrupt airflow and the drives will not receive sufficient cooling.
