Caution: Before installing a new server board, ensure that the server board has the correct versions of the BIOS, FRU/SDR and mBMC installed. Refer to the support site at http:// www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/ssr212cc for the appropriate firmware version to use. Removing a Server Board 1. Observe all safety and ESD precautions listed in Appendix D, "Safety Information". 2. Turn off all peripheral devices connected to the storage system. Turn off the storage system. 3. Disconnect the AC power cord(s). 4. Remove the enclosure cover. For instructions, see "Removing the Enclosure Cover" on page 14. 5. Remove the cooling module. For instructions, see "Removing the Cooling Module" on page 51. 6. Remove the processor air duct. For instructions, see "Removing the Processor Air Duct" on page 72. 7. Remove the PCI riser assembly. Removing a Server Board
