8 PACKAGING, HANDLING AND SET-UP Disassembling 1. Lower the head and foot sections completely. Refer to Raising and Lowering on page 19. 2. Lower the bed to the lowest height. Refer to Raising and Lowering on page 19. 3. Remove the drive shaft. Refer to Assembling/Installing/Removing Drive Shaft on page 40. 4. Disconnect the crossover cable. For the crossover cable definition, Refer to Connecting Crossover Cable on page 37. 5. Remove both bed ends. Refer to Installing/Removing Bed Ends on page 34.  Place the bed on a flat surface so that the motor guards on the bottom of the frame are supporting the bed. 6. Starting with one side of bed, pull the release pin and pull the head section so that it starts to separate slightly from the foot section. 7. On the opposite side of bed, pull the release pin. 8. Disassembling
1.
Lower the head and foot sections completely. Refer to Raising and Lowering
on page 19.
2.
Lower the bed to the lowest height. Refer to Raising and Lowering
on page 19.
3.
Remove the drive shaft. Refer to Assembling/Installing/Removing Drive Shaft
on page 40.
4.
Disconnect the crossover cable. For the crossover cable definition, Refer to Connecting Crossover Cable
on page 37.
5.
Remove both bed ends. Refer to Installing/Removing Bed Ends
on page 34.
6.
Starting with one side of bed, pull the release pin and pull the head section so that it starts to separate slightly from the foot section.
7.
On the opposite side of bed, pull the release pin.
8.
Separate the head section from the foot section.
Place the bed on a flat surface so that the motor guards on the bottom of the frame are supporting the bed.
