NOTE: Always connect the adapter cable to the computer after connecting to the drive. To disconnect,always remove the adapter cable from the computer first. 4. Connect the power supply to the power cord, then connect the power supply to the drive. NOTE: Plug the power cord into a power strip or outlet last. The Iomega HDD External Hard Drive icon should appear in My Computer. Mac Users:® The icon should appear on the desktop. Windows® 98 SE users: If the drive icon does not appear, restart your computer. If the icon does not appear, refer to the section Troubleshooting for USB Drives or see the Iomega Web Support Site at www.iomega.com/support. 5. On the installation CD, click on each of the software icons to install the software. The Iomega HDD External Hard Drive is now ready to use.
