Additional information PICTURE Symptom No picture is displayed on the monitor. Possible cause Connection of video cable is incorrect. Remedy Connect the cable correctly. Input selection of TV is incorrect. Select correctly. Disc is not playable. Use a playable disc. (See page 4.) No picture is displayed on the monitor or the screen is blurred or divided into two parts. The unit is in the progressive scan mode (i.e. the PROGRESSIVE indicator is lit) though it is connected to a TV via the VIDEO or S-VIDEO jack. Set the Scan mode selector on the rear panel to "480i", or set it to "REMOTE" and make the Progressive scan mode inactive by using the VFP-PROGRESSIVE SCAN button (see pages 7 and 8). No audio is reproduced when playing back a DVD disc recorded with High-sampling (88.2 kHz or more) linear PCM audio using the DIGITAL OUT jack.
