Taking pictures and videos Setting Icon Focus Zone Choose a large or concentrated area of focus. This setting remains until you change it. The setting is displayed on the right side of Liveview if set to Center-zone or Selectable-zone. AF Control Choose an auto-focus setting. This setting remains until you change it. The setting is displayed on the right side of Liveview if set to Single AF or Accessory Lens AF. Options Multi-zone (default) -evaluates all zones to give an even picture focus. Ideal for general picture taking. Center-zone -evaluates the small area centered in the viewfinder. Ideal when precise focus of a specific area in the picture is needed. Selectable-zone -move the focus brackets to center, left, or right. NOTE: For the best pictures, the camera is set to Multi-zone when in Landscape mode. Unavailable in Auto, Scene, or Video modes. Continuous AF (default; no icon)-uses external AF sensor and TTL (Through The Lens) AF. Because the camera is always focusing, there is no need to press the Shutter button halfway down to focus. Single AF -uses external AF sensor and TTL-AF when the Shutter button is pressed halfway down. Accessory Lens AF -uses TTL-AF when optional accessory lenses are attached.
