Refer to "Supplies and consumables" on page 39 for ordering information. After initial installation, replace the ink cartridge when: • printed characters appear light or uneven • missing characters or inconsistent character quality are evident • cleaning has not improved the overall print quality IMPORTANT: Dispose the empty ink cartridge in accordance with all federal, state and local laws. 1. Open the printer door. 2. Open the ink cartridge package and remove the tab from the new ink cartridge. 3. If the printer carrier is not in the "load" position, rotate it to the "load" position.
