Setup items by operation 1 1.43 Using IEEE802.1X authentication If you use this machine in a wired LAN environment having the IEEE802.1x authentication system, you must configure the authentication client function of this machine. Using IEEE802.1x authentication can restrict any device not permitted by the administrator to connect to this LAN environment. Configure settings to fit your environment. Use the following flowchart to configure settings. Installation of the client certificate Install the client certificate of this machine according to the EAP authentication method to be used. - When EAP-Type is [EAP-TLS], the installation of the client certificate is indispensable. - When EAP-Type is [EAP-TTLS] or [PEAP], the client certificate is required to be installed depending on how the machine is used. Using IEEE802.1X authentication
If you use this machine in a wired LAN environment having the IEEE802.1x authentication system, you must
configure the authentication client function of this machine.
Using IEEE802.1x authentication can restrict any device not permitted by the administrator to connect to this
LAN environment. Configure settings to fit your environment.
Use the following flowchart to configure settings.

Installation of the client certificate
Install the client certificate of this machine according to the EAP authentication method to be used.

When EAP-Type is [EAP-TLS], the installation of the client certificate is indispensable.

When EAP-Type is [EAP-TTLS] or [PEAP], the client certificate is required to be installed depending on
how the machine is used.
