Security 1 Operation and control of the machine The Administrator of the machine should perform the following operation control. - The Administrator of the machine should log off from the Admin. Settings whenever the operation in the Admin. Settings is completed. The Administrator of the machine should also make sure that each individual user makes it a rule to quit each session whenever it is completed, including those of the Secure Document file, Public User Box, and Public User Box file. - The Administrator of the machine should set the HDD Lock Password according to the environment, in which this machine is used. If the machine is mounted with the optional Security Kit SC-503, the Administrator should also set either the HDD Lock Password or Encryption Key, or both. Machine Maintenance Control The Administrator of the machine should perform the following maintenance control activities. - Provide adequate control over the machine to ensure that only the Service Engineer is able to perform physical service operations on the machine. - Provide adequate control over the machine to ensure that any physical service operations performed on the machine by the Service Engineer are overseen by the Administrator of the machine. 8650 1-7
