Using the Operator Panel Understanding the Operator Panel The operator panel on the top of the printer has a 2-line by 16-character liquid crystal display (LCD), eight keys, and three indicators (LED). INTERFACE SIZE TYPE READY DATA ATTENTION MENU CANCEL ? GO ENTER Messages that appear on the display and functions of indicators and keys are explained in this chapter. Message Display The message display on the operator panel shows: • Status information, the ten messages listed below which are displayed during normal operation. • Error codes, when the printer requires the operator's attention; as explained in the Basic Operation Guide.
