Call waiting When you are on a call and another call comes in, you hear two beeps. The screen shows the caller's phone number if it is available. 1. Press SEND or TALK to switch to the incoming call. The previous caller is placed on hold. 2. Press SEND or TALK to change from one caller to the other. If you press END , both calls are disconnected. Adjusting the volume To silence the ringer 1. When the phone rings, press END or use the volume keys to silence the ringer. The screen reads "RINGER SILENCED," then "INCOMING CALL." 2. Press SEND or TALK to answer the call after silencing the ringer. To mute or unmute a call 1. During a call, hold or under [MENU] for about two seconds. "MUTE" flashes on the screen. The other party will not hear anything you say. 2. To unmute the call, hold or under [MENU] again. To use the automatic volume feature The QCP 2760 Thin Phone has an automatic volume feature, which is not available on QCP 860 and QCP 1960 Thin Phones. When you turn it on, your phone automatically adjusts the earpiece volume on CDMA digital calls (when appears on the screen) based on ambient noise level and the level of the caller's voice. The volume is not adjusted on analog calls. 1. Place a call from a quiet environment. 2. Press the volume keys to set the volume to a comfortable level. 3. Press or under [MENU]. Press 2 6 to choose Sounds > Auto-Vol. On future calls, the phone uses this setting to adjust the volume. Setting the ringer type 1. Press or under [MENU]. 2. Choose Sounds > Ringer Type. On QCP 860 and QCP 1960 Thin Phones, press 2 6; on QCP 2760 Thin Phones, press 2 7. 3. Press or under [NEXT] to cycle through the settings. Each ring plays automatically. 4. The QCP 2760 Thin Phone has an automatic volume feature, which is not available on
QCP 860 and QCP 1960 Thin Phones. When you turn it on, your phone automatically
