ENGLISH MAKING CONNECTIONS 73 Composite connection Transmits the analog video and audio signals from an external device to the TV. Connect the external device and the TV with the composite cable as shown on the following illustration. 2 1 (MONO) AUDI0 AV IN2 VIDEO(MONO) L AUDIO R Connecting to an audio system Use an optional external audio system instead of the built-in speaker. NOTE yyIf you use an external audio device instead of the built-in speaker, set the TV speaker feature to off (See p.63). Digital optical audio connection Transmits the digital audio signal from the TV to an external device. Connect the external device and the TV with the optical audio cable as shown on the following illustration Euro Scart connection Transmits the video and audio signals from an external device to the TV. Connect the external device and the TV with the Euro Scart cable as shown on the following illustration. Transmits the video and audio signals from an
external device to the TV. Connect the external
device and the TV with the Euro Scart cable as
shown on the following illustration. To display
images by using progressive scan, make sure to
use the Euro Scart cable.
Connecting to an audio

the built-in speaker.
