Change the wireless settings (Windows 7). Enables or disables the airplane mode. When airplane mode is enabled, all wireless communication from and to this computer is unavailable (Windows 8.1). Views the open applications. Turns the LCD backlight on or off. Selects the active display device. Use this function key combination to select the LCD of the computer, a connected external device, or both, as the active display device. Note: You also can use the Windows + P combination to get the same function. Darkens the display. Brightens the display. b Caps lock indicator Indicates whether the uppercase mode is enabled. Setting the hotkey mode By default, the hotkey functions are accessible by pressing the appropriate hotkeys. However, the hotkeys may have specific functions in some software. To better use both of the functions, you may need to disable the hotkey mode in the BIOS setup utility. To disable the hotkey mode: Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. Step 4. Shut down the computer. Press the Novo button and then select BIOS Setup. In the BIOS setup utility, open the Configuration menu, and change the setting of Hotkey Mode from Enabled to Disabled. Open the Exit menu, and select Exit Saving Changes. When the hotkey mode is disabled, press the Fn key and the appropriate hotkey to access the corresponding hotkey functions. 14 User Guide
