Step 3. Select a backup image or the factory image and then follow on-screen instructions. Note: If the backup image is stored on an external storage device, make sure the device is connected and configured properly. When the recovery process is completed, the computer restarts and the system partition reverts back to the previous backup point or the factory status. Attention: All data on the system partition created after the backup or factory point will be deleted. Make sure to make a copy of all important data before restoring the system partition. Attention: The recovery process may take several hours to complete. Make sure your computer is plugged in during this process. Restoring the system partition when Windows cannot be started In case Windows cannot be started, follow the steps below to restore the system partition to a previous backup point or the factory status. Step 1. Shut down the computer. Step 2. Press the Novo button. Step 3. From the Novo button menu, select System recovery and press Enter. The computer starts to the recovery environment. Step 4. Select a backup image or the factory image and then follow on-screen instructions.
