Chapter 5. Lenovo OneKey Recovery system Lenovo OneKey Recovery system is an easy-to-use backup and recovery software. Using this software, you can back up the entire system partition as an image file and use it to restore the system in case of system failure. If your computer is preinstalled with any version of a Windows operating system, Lenovo provides an image of the system on a "hidden" partition of the hard disk drive. Note: If your computer is preinstalled with a GNU/Linux operating system, the Recovery system is not available. Backing up the system partition Step 1. Step 2. Step 3. In Windows, press the Novo button or double click OneKey Recovery icon to start the Lenovo OneKey Recovery system. Click System Backup. Select a location to store the image file and then click Next. Note: If you want to choose a location on an external storage device, make sure the device is connected and configured properly. Step 4. Click Start to start the backup process. The backup process may take several hours to complete. Make sure your computer is plugged in during this process. Restoring the system partition when Windows can be started In cases you find your computer is slow due to virus infection or other malicious attacks, you may use the Lenovo OneKey Recovery system to restore the system partition to a previous backup point or the factory status. To do this, follow the steps below. Step 1. Step 2. In Windows, press the Novo button or double-click Onekey Recovery icon to start the Lenovo OneKey Recovery system. Click System recovery. Chapter 5. Lenovo OneKey Recovery system
Lenovo OneKey Recovery system is an easy-to-use backup and recovery
software. Using this software, you can back up the entire system partition as an
image file and use it to restore the system in case of system failure. If your
computer is preinstalled with any version of a Windows operating system,
Lenovo provides an image of the system on a “hidden” partition of the hard disk

Note:
If your computer is preinstalled with a GNU/Linux operating system, the

Backing up the system partition
Step 1.
In Windows, press the Novo button or double click OneKey Recovery
icon to start the Lenovo OneKey Recovery system.
Step 2.
Click

Step 3.

Note:

to start the backup process.
