Using Security Features To deter unauthorized use of your computer, you can lock the cover and keyboard. Locking the Cover Your computer comes with a built in padlock loop. You can use this loop to lock the cover to your computer with a padlock. Locking the Keyboard You can disable the keyboard so that others are unable to use it. If a power-on password is set, the keyboard is locked when you turn on the computer. You must type the correct password before the keyboard will unlock. You can enable the power-on password feature with the Configuration/Setup Utility Program. See Chapter 5, "Using the Configuration/Setup Utility Program" on page 27. Some operating systems have a keyboard and mouse lock-up feature. Check the documentation that comes with your operating system for more information. Using a Security U-Bolt Optionally, you can install a security U-bolt on the back of your computer to keep your computer bolted to the location you have selected for your computer. For instructions on installing a security U-bolt, see "Installing a Security U-bolt" on page 75. 26 PC 300GL User Guide
