8. Lift the system board out of the chassis carefully. Note: You might have to tilt the front end of the system board between the diskette drive and the fan assembly to remove it completely from the chassis. 9. Place the failing system board next to the new system board on a clean, flat surface. 10. Remove all memory modules from the failing system board and install them in the same connectors on the new system board. Refer to the "Identifying parts on the system board". 11. Disconnect the heat sink and fan assembly cable from the system board. See the system board illustration for your machine type at "Identifying parts on the system board". 12.
