5024-001 Image Belt Cartridge/OPC The following precautions must be observed when handling the image belt cartridge/OPC: During Transportation/Storage Use the specified carton whenever moving or storing the image cartridge/OPC. Handling • The PC drum in the image belt cartridge/OPC exhibits the greatest light fatigue after being exposed to strong light over an extended period of time. Never expose it to direct sunlight. Cover the image belt cartridge/OPC when you remove it from the printer. • Use care not to contaminate the surface of the PC drum with oil- base solvent, fingerprints, and other foreign matter. • Do not scratch the surface of the PC drum. Parts Not To Be Touched Any part where the mounting screws are used to meet a machine alignment set at the factory must not be removed, disassembled, or adjusted. For example, the paper pickup roll mounting bracket or internal parts not provided as replacement parts. Repair Information 4-3
