H9660UD_1.qx4 04.4.14 4:47 PM Page 47 Multi-Channel Television Sound system broadcasts are recorded in Hi-Fi stereo.To play in Hi-Fi stereo the tapes recorded in Hi-Fi stereo, follow these steps. 1 Press VCR, then press DISC/MENU so MENU appears. - M E N U - BTIMER PROGRAMMING AUTO REPEAT [OFF] CHANNEL SET UP CLOCK SET LANGUAGE SELECT AUDIO OUT TV STEREO [ON] SAP 2 Press o or p to select AUDIO OUT. Then, press B. - M E N U - TIMER PROGRAMMING AUTO REPEAT [OFF] CHANNEL SET UP CLOCK SET LANGUAGE SELECT BAUDIO OUT TV STEREO [ON] SAP 3 Press o or p to select HIFI. ON will appear beside HIFI. AUDIO OUT BHIFI [ON] MONO 4 Press DISC/MENU to remove the menu. Hi-Fi Stereo 47 TIMER SET STANDBY-ON SETUP AUDIO SUBTITLE ANGLE 1 REC PREV/ CH TITLE REPEAT C-RESET CLEAR MODE REPEAT A-B NEXT/ CH RETURN 1,4 DISPLAY VCR DVD DISC MENU OK 2-3 STOP PLAY SEARCH REW NA508 1 4 PAUSE 23 56 SEARCH FF SPEED SLOW 789 ZOOM SEARCH MODE +10 0 Helpful Hints • Programs are recorded in both HiFi stereo sound and in monaural sound. • The audio level of a tape recorded in Hi-Fi stereo will differ from the audio level of a tape not recorded in Hi-Fi stereo. • You can change to MONO if you want monaural audio playback. Follow steps 1-2, then press o or p to select MONO at step 3. Press DISC/MENU. HIFI will disappear from the status display. • If you play non-Hi-Fi tapes while AUDIO OUT is set to HIFI, HIFI will not appear on the status display. The tape will play in monaural sound.
