These lights show which portion of the cycle the washer is operating. They also indicate when you can add an additional item to the wash cycle and when the controls are locked. PREWASH WASH ADDRINASE G] ARMEN' SPIN CLEAN CONTROLS LOCKED D0 0 R L0 C KED Adding items You can add items to the washer after the wash cycle has started, if the ADD A GARMENT status Light is iLLuminating. ALLcycles have this feature except Rinse & Spin, Spin OnLy, and CLean Washer. To add items 1. SeLect PAUSE/CANCEl.. The washer door unlocks, and items can be added. 2. To continue the cycle, close the door and select and hold START (for approximately 1 second). NOTE: To add garments after the ADD A GARMENT period is over, the wash cycle needs to be canceled, the items added, and a new wash cycle started. Clean The Clean light comes on when the cycle is complete. The light will stay on until the door is opened or PAUSE/CANCEl_is selected. Locking controls The Control I_ock avoids unintended use of the washer. You can also use the control Lock feature to avoid unintended cycle or option changes during a cycle. When CONTROI_S I_OCKED status Light is [it, aLLbuttons are disabled except for PAUSE/CANCEl. and POWER. You can Lock the controls while the washer is operating. To lock the controls SeLect and hold CYCI.E SIGNAl. for 3 seconds. @ CYCLE HOLD3SECONDSTO LOCK/UNLOCKCONTROLS SIGNAL The CONTROI_S I_OCKEI) status light illuminates. To unlock the controls SeLect and hold CYCI.E SIGNAl. for 3 seconds until the CONTROI.S turns off. I.OCKED status Light Estimated -time Remaining The cycle times vary automatically based on your water pressure, water temperature, detergent, and clothes load. The cycle time will be extended if oversudsing occurs or the load is unbalanced. The SUDs routine removes extra suds and assures proper rinsing of your garments. During the unbalance routine the time displayed may pause until this activity is complete, then resume with the remainder of the cycle. The options you select will also affect the cycle times that are shown in the Preset Cycle Settings table. The Estimated Time Remaining can change up to 30 minutes under extreme conditions. If a small load of clothing is run, the Estimated Time Remaining display will indicate 3 or more minutes, but the cycle will finish immediately. If a large load of clothing is run, the Estimated Time Remaining display may indicate 1 minute, but the cycle will take approximately 5 minutes to finish. Door Locked When the status light illuminates, the door is locked. Wash Cycles Choose Wash Cycle by rotating the Cycle selector knob to the desired cycle. The indicator light for the cycle selected will illuminate. Each cycle is designed for different types of fabric and soil levels. NOTE: The cycle selector shown below may be different from that of your model. NORMAL RAPID WASH DELICATE HAND WASH SUPER WASH SPIN ONLY WHITES- RINSE SPIN CLEAN WASHER Each cycle has a preset cycle time, WASH/RINSE TEMP, SPIN SPEED, and may have preset Options. The preset settings provide the recommended fabric care for the selected cycle. The preset settings can be changed anytime before START is selected. Not all Options and Modifiers are available with all Cycles. To change settings after the cycle has started, select PAUSE/CANCEl., then select the desired settings. Select and hold START (for approximately 1 second) to continue the cycle. 18
