Make sure no other application is using the COM port selected. Make sure the COM port settings of your laptop or other device are set to the following: ⅷ Bits per second: 4800 ⅷ Data bits: 8 ⅷ Parity: None ⅷ Stop bits: 1 ⅷ Flow control: Hardware To set your phone to send location information to your laptop or other device: 1. Press / > Tools > GPS > Interface. 2. Set NMEA OUT to USB or Bluetooth. Note Before you can use your phone to send location information, you must configure it to send GPS NMEA information through the charger connector. Press / > Settings > Connections > USB > GPS NMEA. Your phone is now sending location data to your laptop or other device. To stop sending location data to your laptop or other device: ᮣ Set NMEA OUT to Off. Each time you power your phone on, NMEA OUT is automatically set to Off. Memo Feature Memo lets you store a number, make a call to that number, and save it to Contacts. To create a memo: 1. Press / > Tools > Memo. 2. Enter a number and press r. To view the memo later: ᮣ Press / > Tools > Memo. To delete the memo: 1. Press / > Tools > Memo. 118 9. Tools
