Press / > Settings > Connections > USB > Data Modem. To allow applications to access your phone, press / > Settings > Connections > USB > Application Access. Configuring Windows XP® to Work With Your Phone After you have connected your phone to your computer, you must configure Windows XP to recognize it as a modem before it can be used. To install your phone as a modem: 1. Click Start > Control Panel > Printers and Other Hardware, and click on Phone and Modem Options. (Menu options may differ depending on your XP settings.) 2. From the modem window, select the Modems tab and click Add. 3. When the Install New Modem Screen appears, check the box for Don't detect my modem, I will select from a list. Click Next. 4. Under Manufacturer, select [Standard Modem Types]. For Model, choose Standard 19200 bps Modem, and click Next to continue. 5. Select a COM port and click Next and then Finish to complete the installation. Creating a Connection In order to connect to the Internet or a Network using your phone, you must set up a dial-up connection. 1.
