ProSafe M5300 Switch DHCP Snooping Global Configuration Use this page to configure the administrative mode of DHCP snooping on the switch and to enable DHCP snooping on VLANS. When enabled on a VLAN, DHCP snooping forwards valid DHCP client messages it receives in the VLAN. The message is forwarded on all trusted interfaces in the VLAN. To display the DHCP Snooping Global Configuration page, click Security Control> DHCP Snooping Global Configuration. DHCP Snooping Configuration 1. Use DHCP Snooping Mode to enable or disable the DHCP Snooping feature. The factory default is disabled. 2. Use MAC Address Validation to enable or disable the validation of sender MAC Address for DHCP Snooping. The factory default is enabled. DHCP Snooping VLAN Configuration 1. Use VLAN ID to enter the VLAN for which the DHCP Snooping Mode is to be enabled. 2. Use DHCP Snooping Mode to enable or disable the DHCP Snooping feature for the specified VLAN. The factory default is disabled. 3. Click APPLY to apply the new configuration and cause the changes to take effect. These changes will not be retained across a power cycle unless a save configuration is performed. 4. Click CANCEL to abandon the changes. Managing Device Security 415
