ProSafe M5300 Switch IPv6 ACL An IP ACL consists of a set of rules which are matched sequentially against a packet. When a packet meets the match criteria of a rule, the specified rule action (Permit/Deny) is taken and the additional rules are not checked for a match. On this menu the interfaces to which an IP ACL applies must be specified, as well as whether it applies to inbound or outbound traffic. Rules for the IP ACL are specified/created using the IP ACL Rule Configuration menu. To display the IPv6 ACL page, click Security ACL> Advanced IPv6 ACL. 1. IP ACL is the IP ACL ID or IP ACL Name which is dependent on the IP ACL Type. IP ACL ID must be an integer from 1 to 99 for an IP basic ACL and from 100 to 199 for an IP Extended ACL. IPv6 ACL Name string includes alphanumeric characters only. The name must start with an alphabetic character. 2. Click ADD to add a new IP ACL to the switch configuration. 3. Click DELETE to remove the currently selected IP ACL from the switch configuration. Field Current Number of ACL Maximum ACL Rules Type Description The current number of the IP ACLs configured on the switch. The maximum number of IP ACL can be configured on the switch, it depends on the hardware. The number of the rules associated with the IP ACL.
