ReadyNAS OS 6 Desktop Storage Systems When connected to a host that is powered on, the EDA 500 automatically powers on. The EDA 500 detects a powered-on host through the eSATA link. You can also power on the system by pressing the Power button on the front panel of the system. Preferred Shutdown If possible, always unmount the EDA 500 volumes from the host before shutting down the EDA 500. Use the ReadyNAS local admin page to gracefully shut down the EDA 500.
