Editing Pictures Use the COOLPIX S7c to edit pictures in-camera and store them as separate files (c 160). The editing features described below are available. Editing function Crop D-Lighting Electronic VR Small picture Description Enlarge the image or refine the composition and create a copy containing only the portion visible in the monitor. Create a copy of the current picture with enhanced brightness and contrast, brightening dark portions of the picture. Sharpen blurred images digitally after they are taken. Corrected images are stored as new files. Create a small copy of pictures suitable for use on web pages or as e-mail attachments. More on Playback k Picture Editing • The COOLPIX S7c editing functions may not be available for pictures taken with nonCOOLPIX S7c digital cameras. • If a copy created using the COOLPIX S7c is viewed on a different digital camera, the picture may not be displayed or may not be transferred to a computer. • Editing functions are not available when there is not enough free space in the internal memory or on the memory card. l Restrictions on Picture Editing (y: available, -: not available) 1st editing Crop D-Lighting Electronic VR* Small picture Crop - y y - 2nd editing D-Lighting Electronic VR - - - y y - - - Small picture - y y - * Includes pictures taken in anti-shake mode. • Pictures cannot be edited twice with the same editing function. • The D-Lighting or electronic VR should be done first while the restricted use of combination exists. l Original Pictures and Edited • Copies created with editing functions are not deleted if the original pictures are deleted. The original pictures are not deleted if copies created with editing functions are deleted. • Edited copies are stored with the same recording date and time as the original. • Edited copies have the same transfer marking (c 112) as the original but are not marked 54 for printing (c 93) or protecting (c 111).
