Shooting Features d Sports • While the shutter-release button is held all the way down, the camera shoots up to about 5 images continuously at a rate of about 6.9 fps (when image quality is set to Normal and when image size is set to i 4608×3456). • The frame rate for continuous shooting may become slow depending upon the current image quality setting, image size setting, the memory card used, or shooting condition. • Focus, exposure, and hue are fixed at the values determined with the first image in each series. e Night portrait • From the screen displayed after e Night portrait is selected, select Hand-held or Tripod. • Hand-held (default setting): - When the e icon at the top left of the monitor glows green, press the shutter-release button all the way to capture a series of images which are combined into a single image and saved. - Once the shutter-release button is pressed all the way, hold the camera still until a still image is displayed. After taking an image, do not turn the camera off before the monitor switches to the shooting screen. - If the subject moves while the camera is shooting continuously, the image may be distorted, overlapped, or blurred. • Tripod: - One image is captured at a slow shutter speed when the shutter-release button is pressed all the way. - Vibration reduction is disabled regardless of the Photo VR (A83) setting in the setup menu. f Party/indoor • To avoid the effects of camera shake, hold the camera steady. Set Photo VR to Off in the setup menu (A83) when using a tripod to stabilize the camera during shooting. 34
