Macro Mode (Taking Close-up Pictures) Use macro mode when you take close-up pictures. 1 Press the multi selector I (p). 2 Select ON and press the k button. • If the setting is not applied by pressing the k button, the selection will be canceled. Macro mode 3 Move the zoom control to set the zoom ratio to a position where F and the 40 zoom indicator are displayed in green. • When the zoom ratio is set to a position where the zoom indicator is displayed in green, the camera can focus on subjects as close as approximately 10 cm (4 in.) from the lens. When the zoom is at the position where G is displayed, the camera can focus on subjects as close as approximately 1 cm (0.4 in.) from the lens.
