Connecting Network Interfaces Ethernet Cables The Nokia 5i and Nokia 10i use IEEE 802.3 10 BASE-T, 100 Base-TX shielded twisted-pair, CAT-5 ethernet cables. To connect Ethernet devices: „ Use a straight-through RJ-45 cable to connect to a 10-Mbps or 100-Mbps hub or switch. „ Use a crossover RJ-45 cable to connect directly to a host. After you connect the network interfaces, you can perform the initial gateway configuration. For information about how to configure the gateway, see Performing the Initial Gateway Configuration in the Nokia IP VPN Installation Guide.
