Inserting Recordings into Previous Files Existing file into which data is to be inserted The dog is cute. Additional recordings can be inserted into previously recorded files. The dog is so cute. Data to be inserted Inserting Recordings into Previous Files 5 REC 6 STOP INDEX MENU ERASE 1 Press the FOLDER button to choose a folder. 1 Press the FF/+ or REW/- button to choose the 3,4 2 file into which you want to insert additional 2 recordings. 3 Press the PLAY button to start playback. 4 Press the PLAY button at the point where you want to insert a recording. Playback pauses. 5 Press the REC button to start inserting additional recordings. The record/play indicator lamp glows red. 6 Press the STOP button to stop inserting additional recordings. a Current folder b Existing file into which data is to be inserted Pause Insert Recording Pause Press the PLAY button. ➥ "INSERT PAUSE" flashes on the display. Resume Insert Recording Press the PLAY button again. ➥ Insert recording resumes. Notes • The recording time and date of the file into which recording has been inserted is updated to the time and date of when the inserted recording was recorded. • You cannot select any recording mode other than that of the original file before insert recording (→ P.18). 25
