Preparations Camera settings Formatting a picture card ( FORMAT) Formatting prepares the picture card to receive data. This camera may not recognize cards which have been formatted on a computer or another camera. Be sure to format the card with this camera. All data stored on the card is erased when the card is formatted. Protected pictures are also erased. 2 Open the lens barrier, or press the q. Then press the OK button. The first menu is displayed.
