Taking still pictures Shooting Taking still pictures The following section describes how to take pictures using the monitor. Shutter button operation is the same as when taking pictures using the viewfinder. When power is turned on, the lens extends, the monitor turns on, and the camera enters shooting mode. Lens barrier If the lens fails to extend, the lens barrier may not be completely open. The following section describes how to take pictures using the monitor.

Open the lens barrier.
When power is turned on, the lens
extends, the monitor turns on, and
the camera enters shooting mode.
If the lens fails to extend, the lens
barrier may not be completely open.
You can change various settings in the
shooting mode.
