Advanced Setup Speaker Setup 3 This section explains how to check the speaker settings and how to set them manually, which is useful if you change a speaker after performing the automatic speaker setup. Some of the speaker settings are set automatically by the Automatic Speaker Setup function (see page 38). Speaker Configuration This setting is set automatically by the Automatic Speaker Setup function (see page 38). 4 With the Speaker Configuration settings, you can specify which speakers are connected and a crossover frequency, distance, and level for each speaker. The following crossover frequencies can be specified: Full Band, 40Hz, 50Hz, 60Hz, 80Hz, 100Hz, 120Hz, 150Hz, or 200Hz. Specify Full Band for speakers that can output low-fre- quency bass sounds adequately, for example, speakers 5 with a good sized woofer. For smaller speakers, specify a crossover frequency. Sounds below the crossover fre- quency will then be output by the subwoofer instead of the speaker. Refer to your speakers' manuals to deter- mine the optimum crossover frequencies. 1 Press the [RECEIVER] button fol- lowed by the [SETUP] button. The main menu appears onscreen. If the main menu doesn't appear, make sure the appropriate external input is selected on your TV. 6 2 Use the Up and Down [ ]/[ ] buttons to select "2.
