6.13.8. CIS Home Sensor This sensor detects whether the carriage of CIS is at its home position or not. When the carriage is at its home position, a shelter plate closes the sensor light. So the photo-transistor turns off and the input signal of IC300-J32pin becomes high level. When the carriage is not at its home position, a shelter plate lets the sensor light pass. So the photo-transistor turns on and the input signal of IC300-J32pin becomes low level. ADF Document Sensor This sensor detects whether the documents are set in ADF or not. When the documents are set in ADF, the shelter plate closes the sensor light. So the photo-transistor turns off and input signal of IC300-H32pin becomes high level. When the documents are not set in ADF, the shelter plate lets the sensor light pass. CIS Home Sensor

This sensor detects whether the carriage of CIS is at its home position or not.

When the carriage is at its home position, a shelter plate closes the sensor light.

So the photo-transistor turns off and the input signal of IC300-J32pin becomes high level.

When the carriage is not at its home position, a shelter plate lets the sensor light pass.

So the photo-transistor turns on and the input signal of IC300-J32pin becomes low level.

ADF Document Sensor

This sensor detects whether the documents are set in ADF or not.

When the documents are set in ADF, the shelter plate closes the sensor light.

So the photo-transistor turns off and input signal of IC300-H32pin becomes high level.

When the documents are not set in ADF, the shelter plate lets the sensor light pass.
