KX-MC6020HX 6.13.10. ADF Read Position Sensor This sensor detects the front edge of the document. When the front edge of the document is detected, the shelter plate closes the sensor light. So the photo-transistor turns off and input signal of IC300-G34pin becomes high level. When the front edge of the document is not detected, the shelter plate lets the sensor light pass. So the photo-transistor turns on and input signal of IC300-G34pin becomes low level. Documents exist No document Switch OFF ON Signal (IC300-G34pin) High level Low level 6.13.11. Waste Toner Sensor This sensor detects waste toner in the bottle. When the amount of waste toner exceeds a certain level, the waste toner begins to shield LED's light. Then phototransistor becomes unable to detect the light causing the input level to pin 2 of IC830 to rise. After the number of input voltage signals above the threshold level goes to below the specified number and the hardware detects the waste toner is full, the software starts to count the printing pixel number and OPC rotation number. Alarm display appears when either of them reaches the setting value. 84

ADF Read Position Sensor

This sensor detects the front edge of the document.

When the front edge of the document is detected, the shelter plate closes the sensor light.

So the photo-transistor turns off and input signal of IC300-G34pin becomes high level.

When the front edge of the document is not detected, the shelter plate lets the sensor light pass.

So the photo-transistor turns on and input signal of IC300-G34pin becomes low level.

Waste Toner Sensor

This sensor detects waste toner in the bottle. When the amount of waste toner exceeds a certain level, the waste toner begins to

shield LED’s light.

Then phototransistor becomes unable to detect the light causing the input level to pin 2 of IC830 to rise.

After the number of input voltage signals above the threshold level goes to below the specified number and the hardware detects

the waste toner is full, the software starts to count the printing pixel number and OPC rotation number.

Alarm display appears when either of them reaches the setting value.
