Making/Answering Calls Using the Base Unit Making cellular calls Important: R The unit cannot be used to talk on 2 cellular lines at the same time. R Only 1 Bluetooth device can be used with the unit at a time*1. R Before making calls, confirm that the corresponding CELL indicator on the base unit lights up (page 17). *1 You cannot use a Bluetooth headset to talk on a cellular line. 1 Dial the phone number. R To correct a digit, press MCLEARN. 2 Press MCELL 1N or MCELL 2N. 3 When the other party answers, speak into the microphone. 4 When you finish talking, press MZN. Note: R While on a call, you can switch from the base unit to the handset: - Press MINTERCOMN on the base unit. a Select the desired handset number on the base unit. a Press M N on the handset. a Press MZN on the base unit. - If the handset is on the base unit, simply lift it. - With the call sharing mode on (page 55), press MCELLN*1 on the handset. a MbN: Select the desired cellular phone. a MSELECTN a Press MZN on the base unit (KX-TGF770 series: page 4). *1 The call is taken when: - Only 1 cellular phone is paired. - A specific line is set to make cellular calls (page 22). Adjusting the speaker volume Press MDN or MCN repeatedly while talking. Note: R The speaker volume you set is kept for each line (landline and cellular lines). Making a call using the redial list The last 10 phone numbers dialed are stored in the redial list (48 digits max. each). 1 MREDIALN 2 MbN: Select the desired entry. 3 Press MCELL 1N or MCELL 2N. Erasing a number in the redial list 1 MREDIALN 2 MbN: Select the desired entry. a MERASEN 3 MbN: "Yes" a MSELECTN a MEXITN Making landline calls 1 Dial the phone number. R To correct a digit, press MCLEARN. 2 MZN 3 When the other party answers, speak into the microphone. 4 When you finish talking, press MZN. Note: R While on a call, you can switch from the base unit to the handset: - Press M N on the handset, then press MZN on the base unit with the call sharing mode on (page 55). - If the handset is on the base unit, simply lift it.
