To obtain a goodlooking seam we recommend inclusion of a lightly j tensioned wool thread in the seam (Fig. 1). Make sure the needle stitches just J beyond the fabric edge, as it descends in its right position. In this way, the edge thread is sewn to the raw edge and serves as an edge protection. Overedge stitch prog 147 -- 3-5 OA The overedge stitch is used for joining two fabric parts at a width of up to 9 mm and serging them with a double edge finish (very durable).
