_ Blind stitch prog j -- . Fold the previously overcast raw edge over to form a hem of the desired width and secure it with pins at about 0.5 cm from the fabric edge. Place the fabric under the blindstitch foot and sew, making sure the folded fabric edge runs along edge guide "B" of the blindstitch foot (Fig. 1 + 2a). Before you start blindstitching, adjust the needle penetration point on the folded fabric edge. To do this, adjust the position of edge guide "B" by turning regulating screw A" so that the needle I J catches only one thread in the folded edge when it makes its left stitch. Sew a trial seam on a piece I of scrap material first, Then proceed as described above (Fig. 2). Elastic blind stitch (for elastic materials) f1 lEEF! 'j This type of stitch is suitable for stretch fabrics. First fold the hem to the desired width and secure with pins.
