Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents. • Do not operate hedge trimmer in explosive • atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. • • Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges, and refrigerators. • Keep children and bystanders away while operating hedge trimmer. Distractions can • cause you to lose control. • Do not expose hedge trimmer to rain or • wet conditions. • If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD) protected supply. • Restrict the use of this unit to people who read, understand, and follow unit and • manual warnings and instructions. • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device. • Never allow children or people unfamiliar • with the instructions use the device. • Turn the hedge trimmer off while people, children, or pets are nearby. • • Only use the hedge trimmer in daylight or good artificial light. • • Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. • Before using the device and after any impact, check for signs of wear or damage and repair as necessary. • • Never operate without guard, or with damaged guard. • • Keep hands and feet away from hedge trimmer blade at all times, especially when turning the unit on. • Never use replacement parts or • accessories not provided or recommended by the manufacturer. 5 Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to be bind and are easier to control. Do not use tool if switch does not turn it on or off. A tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired. Disconnect battery pack from tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the tool. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of starting the tool accidentally. Store idle tools out of reach of children and other untrained persons. Tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users. Always ensure that ventilation openings are kept clear of debris. Dress Properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelery. Contain long hair. Keep your hair, clothing, and hands away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry, or long hair can be caught in moving parts. Always wear eye protection, that comply with ANSI Z87.1. Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Proper footing and balance enable better control of the tool in unexpected situations. Stay Alert. Do not operate hedge trimmer when you are tired, ill, or under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication. Store the hedge trimmer indoors - out of reach of children. Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Keep all bystanders, children, and pets at least 50 ft. away. Use Right Tool - Do not use tool for any job except that for which it is intended. Avoid Unintentional Starting - Do not carry hedge trimmer with fingers on the switch. Be sure the battery is removed while transporting. Do not force tool. Use the correct tool for your application. The correct tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it is designed.
