SAFETY RULES • Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. Maintain tool with care. Keep vents clean for best and safest performance. Follow instructions for proper maintenance. Do not attempt to clear clogs from tool without first disconnecting the battery. • Check Damaged Parts - Before further use of the tool, a guard or other part that is damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and perform its intended function. Check for alignment of moving parts, binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting, and any other condition that may affect its operation. A guard or other part that is damaged should be properly repaired by an authorized service center unless indicated elsewhere in this manual. • For use only with PPB402AH, PPB404AH battery and PPB40CGR charger. • Do not open or mutilate the battery. Released electrolyte is corrosive and may cause damage to the eyes or skin. It may be toxic if swallowed . possible personal injury from the cutter blades. • Hold the hedge trimmer by insulated gripping surfaces only, because the cutter blade may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. Cutter blades contacting a "live" wire may make exposed metal parts of the power tool "live" and could give the operator an electric shock. • DO NOT operate the hedge trimmer when you are tired or your visibility is limited. Do not use the hedge trimmer at night or in reduced light. • DO NOT use the hedge trimmer if the handle guard is damaged. WARNING: Only use with handle and guard properly assembled to hedge trimmer. The use of the hedge trimmer without the proper guard or handle provided may result in serious personal injury. DANGER: Keep hands away from blade. • Exercise care in handling batteries in order not to short the battery with conducting materials such as rings, bracelets, and keys.
