Messages (Menu 5) Use the Messages menu to send and receive short messages, multimedia messages, and e-mails. You can also access push messages and cell broadcast messages. To access this menu, press in Idle mode and select Messages. Create new message (Menu 5.1) Use this menu to create and send text messages, multimedia messages, or e-mails. Text message (Menu 5.1.1) Short Message Service (SMS) allows you to send or receive text messages including pictures, audio clips, and animated images. Creating and sending an SMS message 1. Enter your message and press [ ]. • The maximum number of characters allowed in a message varies by service provider. If your message exceeds the maximum number of characters, the phone will split the message. • You can use various options by pressing .next section 2. Enter a destination number. Creating and sending an SMS message
1. Enter your message and press [

2. Enter a destination number.
To send the message to more than one

Using options while composing an SMS
message
While composing a message, press <

Send only
: send the message.
The maximum number of characters
