Updating Contacts Make changes to update an existing contact. 1. From a Home screen, tap Apps g Contacts. 2. Touch a contact to view its information, then select Edit. 3. Continue entering contact information. For more information, refer to "Adding Contacts" on page 15. Contacts Options 1. From a Home screen, tap Apps g Contacts. 2. Touch a contact to display it, then tap Menu: ● Delete contacts: Delete one or more contacts. ● Share namecard via: Send one or more contacts as namecards via an available delivery method. ● Merge accounts: Allows you to merge all of your current Contact entries with either your active Google or Samsung account. If several of your contacts are from other external sources, this allows you to "back them up" or copy them to your Samsung account. Tap OK to continue or Cancel to exit. ● Send message/email: Send a message or email to one or more contacts. ● History: View calls and messages to and from this contact. ● Link contact/Separate contact: Manage multiple contacts as one. For more information, refer to "Linking Contacts" on page 16. ● Mark as default: Set a default tablet number or other field (such as IM or email address). Defaults are the contact method used when creating a message or calling a contact. You can also set a default by touching and holding on a contact field. ● Add shortcut to home: Add a shortcut icon to a Home screen to provide direct access to this contact. ● Settings: Access Contacts settings. ● Help: View help for using Contacts. Choosing Contacts to Display 1. From a Home screen, tap Apps g Contacts. 2. Tap Menu g Settings g Contacts to display: ● Choose All contacts to show all contacts. ● Touch Device to show only show contacts saved to the tablet. ● Touch SIM to show only contacts saved to the SIM card. ● Choose an account to only display contacts from that account. ● Choose Customized list to select contact types for each account and device. Linking Contacts Your device can synchronize with multiple accounts, including Google, Corporate, and other providers, plus social networking sites like Facebook. When you synchronize contacts from these accounts with your device, you may have multiple contacts for one person. Linking contact records allows you to see all the contact's numbers and addresses together. Linking also helps you keep your contacts updated, because any changes to information in the respective accounts is automatically updated the next time you synchronize with the account. 1. From a Home screen, tap Apps g Contacts. 2. Touch and hold on a contact, then select Link contact. 3. Select a contact to join to the selected contact. Separating Contacts 1. From a Home screen, tap Apps g Contacts. 2. Tap a contact to display its information, then select to display the linked contacts. 3. Tap next to a contact to remove it from the Linked contact list. Exporting and Importing Contacts You can export your contact list to and from USB storage (your device's memory), or an installed memory card. 1. From a Home screen, tap Apps g Contacts. 2. Tap Menu g Settings g Import/Export, then select an option: ● Import from USB storage: Copy contacts that are saved in device memory. ● Export to USB storage: Copy contacts to device memory. ● Import from SD card: Copy contacts from a memory card (not included). ● Export to SD card: Copy contacts to a memory card. ● Import from SIM card: Copy contacts that are saved to the SIM card to device memory. 3. Follow the prompts to complete th e operation. Sending Namecards (vCards) You can send a contact namecard as a vCards using a Bluetooth connection to other Bluetooth devices, or as an attachment to a Gmail or Email message. Important! Not all Bluetooth devices will accept contacts, and not all devices support transfers of multiple contacts. Check the target device's documentation. 1. From a Home screen, tap Apps g Contacts. 2. Tap Menu g Share namecard via g Selected contact. Choose a sending method and follow the prompts to send the namecard. - or - Tap Multiple contacts. Select contacts to mark them for sending, or tap Select all to mark all contacts. Touch Done. At the prompt, choose a sending method, then follow the prompts to send the namecard. 16

Updating Contacts
Make changes to update an existing contact.

Touch a contact to view its information, then select
