I Punch function (only when a punch unit is installed) When an optional punch unit is installed on the saddle stitch finisher, holes can be punched in the output. Punched output is delivered to the offset tray. The punch function cannot be used in combination with the saddle stitch (pamphlet stapling) function. For paper sizes that can be punched, see the specifications on page 2. Stapling and punching are not possible when different sizes are mixed together. Note, however, that if the widths are the same, the "mix size original feeding mode"* function can be used to staple and punch different sizes of paper (saddle stitch is not possible). * Stapling and punching are not possible if "mix size original feeding mode" includes sizes that cannot be stapled (such as 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and A5). 4
