Remote Operations Toll Saver When you call the machine to listen to your messages, it will answer after two rings if it has received at least one message, or after four rings if it has not received any messages. This allows you to save money on telephone charges, particularly if you are calling long distance. If the machine does not answer after the second ring, you can simply hang up before it answers, saving yourself the cost of that call. If you do not want to use the Toll Saver function, you can turn it off by following the steps below. In this case, the machine will answer after the number of rings set with the NUMBER OF RINGS setting (see Changing the number of rings on page 78). 1 Press FUNCTION once and once. Display: T.A.D. SETTING 2 Press once. TOLL SAVER 3 Press once. 4 Press 1 to turn on the Toll Saver function, or 2 to turn it off. 1=YES, 2=NO The display briefly shows your selection, then: RECORDING TIME 5 Press to return to the date and time display.
