Using Alternative Power Sources Installing the Battery Pack at the Bottom of the Camcorder You can install the battery pack at the bottom of the camcorder with the NPA-L1 battery adaptor (not supplied). If you install another battery pack into the camcorder, you can use the camcorder for a long time. (1) Attach the battery pack to the battery adaptor until it clicks. (2) Aligning the bottom of the battery adaptor with the guide at the bottom of the camcorder, slide the battery adaptor until it clicks. Battery life of NP-720 The typical recording time of the NP-720 battery pack (not supplied) is approx. 1 hour and 10 minutes, and the continuous recording time is approx. 2 hours and 20 minutes. The actual battery life may be shorter. To Remove the Battery Pack (1) While sliding RELEASE on the battery adaptor, detach it from the camcorder. (2) While sliding BATT. RELEASE on the battery adaptor, remove the battery pack from the adaptor. When the battery pack is discharged Set the POWER switch on the camcorder to OFF, and replace the battery pack. If another battery pack is installed in the camcorder, replace both of them at the same time. Notes on the battery adaptor • The camcorder is unstable if a battery adaptor is attached on it. Put the camcorder on its side or remove the battery adaptor. • If you attach the battery pack while recording, recording stops and the camcorder switches to standby mode. Press START/STOP to continue recording. The transition between two scenes will bt smooth. Using a Car Battery Use the DC-V515 car battery charger (not supplied). Connect the car battery cord to the cigarette lighter socket of a car (12 V or 24 V). Connect the car battery charger and the camcorder using the supplied connecting cord. You
can
install
the
battery
pack
at
the
bottom
of
the
camcorder
with
the
NPA-L1
battery
adaptor
(not
supplied).
If
you
install
another
battery
pack
into
the
camcorder,
you

use

camcorder

Attach
the
battery
pack
to
the
battery
adaptor
until
it
clicks.
(2)
Aligning
the
bottom
of
the
battery
adaptor
with
the
guide
at
the
bottom
of
the
camcorder,
slide
the
battery
adaptor
until
it
clicks.
Battery
life
of
NP

The
typical
recording
time
of
the
NP
-720
battery
pack
(not
supplied)
is
approx.
1
hour
and
10
minutes,
and
the
continuous
recording
time
is
approx.
2
hours
and
20
minutes.
The
actual
battery
life
may
be
shorter.
To
Remove
the
Battery
Pack
(1)
While
sliding
RELEASE
on
the
battery
adaptor,

it
from
the
camcorder.

sliding
BATT.
RELEASE
on
the
battery
adaptor,
remove
the
battery
pack
from
the
adaptor.
When
the
battery
pack
is
discharged
Set
the

camcorder

and

battery
pack.
If

battery
pack

installed

camcorder,
replace

them

The
camcorder
