Adjusting the White Balance To Return to Automatic White Balance Mode Press WHT BAL repeatedly until the white balance indicator disappears, or set AUTO LOCK to AUTO LOCK. When the light source changes Adjust the white balance again. • When you record in manual adjustment mode, set AUTO LOCK to AUTO LOCK once, then set it to the center position again. • When you record in automatic adjustment mode, or when you replace the battery pack, point the lens toward a white object for approx. 10 seconds, then start recording. Locking the White Balance Setting (HOLD mode) When you set the white balance to HOLD mode, the last automatic white balance setting will be locked and maintained even if lighting conditions change. (1) Set AUTO LOCK to AUTO LOCK. (2) Point the camcorder at a white and flat object such as a white wall or paper for about 15 seconds. Or, close the STANDBY cover while recording a white object, then open the cover again. (3) Set AUTO LOCK to the center position. (4) Press WHT l3A1. so that the HOLD indicator appears in the viewfinder. AUTO LOCK ▪HOLD I1 AUTO IM Mil LOCK IMIL .M1 AIMA MINIM ▪HOLD 2 - WHT BAL HOLD Note on the HOLD mode setting The white balance setting for HOLD mode is retained even when you remove the battery pack or change white balance mode, as long as the lithium battery is installed in the camcorder. 42
