Remove the screw (1) •• Pull out the shutter (2) and refit it in the "winter" position • (bottom illustration) Insert screw and tighten it down. Preheated air from around the cylinder is now drawn in along with cold air - this helps prevent carburetor icing. • Pry the shutter out of the carburetor box cover and slide it into the slot at the bottom end of the carburetor box cover.

Turn knob or lever above rear
handle 90° counterclockwise.

Lift off the carburetor box cover
vertically.

Remove the screw (1)

Pull out the shutter (2) and refit it
in the "winter" position

Insert screw and tighten it down.
